Linsey’s introduction to pregnancy was through the maternal health crisis.

The worst thing about a full term birth ending in demise is the lack of support afterwards. Following her initial tragic experiences with pregnancy, Linsey immediately saw areas that needed greater care. Since 2015 Linsey has been applying her lived experiences with current market needs addressing America’s maternal health crisis especially for People of the Global Majority and this has shown up in client projects selected as well as writing projects Linsey enjoys.

Building Connected Foundations that Care

Launched the Collective Harts Project, a collaborative network of trauma-informed specialists and bereavement trainings for corporate environments that centers anti-racist work to reduce harm, advocate for repair and respect physiologic as well as psychological experiences. Together Linsey brings connection to community through full spectrum doula services, research, conversations and pursuing new collaborations

America’s Stillbirth Crisis

Contributed to ProPublica’s investigative series called Stillbirth, earning ProPublica a Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting as well as its “Before a Breath” documentary launched nationwide in 2025. Other projects related to reducing maternal health suffering include:

  • Named one of the 10 best Quartz at Work writers about the lives of working parents

  • Support restructuring of Texas’ first policy leadership organization for maternal health advocacy with Texas Doula Association

  • Media spokesperson on the maternal health crisis related to loss

  • Speaker and Presenter for Sisters in Loss Summit

  • Host and interviewers for Reimagine events

Results

“(Linsey writes) an incredibly important and powerful piece about how overworking pregnant women can put both parents and babies in harm’s way.”
